Petra Heenan

I’m a keen amateur artist. I have been interested in art and artists my entire life. My work is a constant search for the best way to interpret the idea that I have about myself and the world I live in. I do not limit myself to one medium style or concept.

Inspirations and ideas change with my mood and knowledge. Acrylic paint is my main medium, but this is not always the case. Exploring mixed mediums, oil paint, and watercolours is all part of my artistic expression. I love to use vibrant colours in my abstract paintings and my styles are very different, I like to challenge myself to further my knowledge and skills.

Making art must be always a playful process for me. If the viewer stops just for a minute or even for a few seconds to view and reflect on a piece of my work then I have succeeded in my journey of life being an artist.
