The essential is invisible to the eye.
Youjeong Kim
I am a freelance illustrator and mixed-media artist whose work blends storytelling with delicate textures inspired by nature and cultural heritage. I bring in my Korean roots and personal journey across different countries, and often incorporate traditional materials such as Hanji. I like to explore themes of belonging, imagination, and resilience. My art ranges from children's books illustrations to simple sketches. In 2024, I was commended in the FAB Prize held by Faber & Faber for my children’s book illustrations. I aim to create works that invite both children and adults into worlds of wonder and quiet beauty.
